The cfu count listed on the bottle takes into account for any minimal loss in potency during transit and exposure to extreme temperatures. Once the client receives the bottle, if stored in proper refrigeration that means in "good working order" and cap is properly closed then it will not affect the lifespan of the product, until it reaches the expiration date. After the expiration date has passed, the probiotic powder drops in cfu count and will continue to drop as time goes on. Although you are able to travel with it for several weeks without the need for refrigeration, when possible, for the lifespan of the product we recommend keeping it stored in the refrigerator.
